Thanks for reporting. I can reproduce it on upgrades of the package.

> sed s/mm_defaults/Defaults/ "s/'localhost'/$DOMAIN/g" "s/http://localhost/$DOMAIN/g" </etc/mailman/mm_cfg.py >/etc/mailman/mm_cfg.py.new

While this regexp was buggy, it was not the cause (that part of the code
is not reached often. I've fixed that regexp, but this bug hasn't been
resolved.

I need to leave now, so if anyone else is willing to debug this...
