[Pkg-mailman-hackers] Bug#408855: mailman logs symlink is relative instead of absolute

Hi,

I yesterday had a similar problem. But I think the problem description
is not correct.

I moved /var/lib/mailman (not /var/log/mailman) to a different device
path (/share/www/mailman/lib) for several reasons. There the relative
symlink to ../../log/mailman is not working because relative symlinks
always use the physical path as a starting point. So the symlink would
try to point to /share/www/log/mailman and not to /var/log/mailman.
Replacing the link with an absolute link fixed the problem.

I also had the problem that /etc/init.d/mailman and mailmanctl silently
fail if the link is not working.

Christoph

PS: Maybe these two bugs can be merged.
