I propose to just trash the whole /var/lib/mailman dir on purge, i.e.
rm -rf /var/lib/mailman. Since this is our namespace and the user has
indicated that s/he wants all traces of mailman removed from the system,
unconditionally removing the entire directory is an adequate way of ensuring
that the package is fully purged.
