Do these patches fix actual bugs?  (The first mail in this thread seems to
indicate so.)  If so, why not reporting these bugs to e.g. the Debian BTS and
attach the patches to the bugreports?  If you're somewhat less overworked than
the Debian mailman hackers team, it's likely worthwhile ;-)

Such a document, along with a less intrusive mailman-ssls patch, and optionally
a ready-to-install patched mailman .deb, is likely very useful for some
audience.  So: yes please go ahead.

PS: an even more useful thing to do would be to port the patch to mailman 3.x.
This is likely the only way to get the patch ever accepted by the mailman
developers.
