Hi folks.
I was reading the bug reports for the package of MailMan for Debian 6,
and wonder if you folks plan to release any updates to the package to
correct any of the bugs?
I also wanted to point out something at one point when I had a Debian
server running Debian Lenny before the next version Debian6 came out,
I had a bug even back then where archives did not work at all in
MailMan. I had to do some abd stuff, including making the lists user
own some ifles that could have been a risk, and a few other commands,
though now I cannot remember, before archive pages worked as expected.
My suggestion at least from the viewpoint as a package end-user only
might be to develop a brand-new Debian package that is based on the
very latest source code MailMan available rather than trying to patch
a package that may honestly not be wroth paching. I don't have time,
to read all the outstanding bugs, but they may or may not still need
fixing.
I thought I'd contact you maintainers as soon as I could, just to
point this out as far as seeing what's giong on.
I'd subscribe to the bug tracker, but really have no time for that
either at the moment.
Feel free to get back to me via email.
Thanks.
