Martin is already working on updating the Debian packaging Gits with  
needed changes for MATE 1.12. I will do the reviewing and the  
uploading in a week from now approximately.

However, as you have a deep interest in MATE and Debian, please get in  
touch with me to see how you can help with the workload. Ping me  
(sunweaver) on IRC please during the next days.
