Package: mate-settings-daemon
Version: 1.8.2-4
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where
appropriate ***

    * What led up to the situation?
I don't know: it happens suddenly without any plausible cause (just working
with chrome, libreoffice etc.)
    * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
      ineffective)?
    * What was the outcome of this action?
    * What outcome did you expect instead?

*** End of the template - remove these template lines ***

work-around:
changed /run/user/<UID>/dconf/user permissions to a+rwx and killed mate-
settings-daemon: the memory emptied out and the system load got back to
normality.
