Debian 9 freeze policy for pkg-mate Git repositories

Hi all,
from today on, uploads to Debian unstable must be uploads that are
very likely to be accepted by the Debian release team. Migrations from
Debian unstable to testing (aka stretch) have to be unblocked by the
release team, so every package change will be reviewed by a member of
the Debian release team.
For the pkg-mate team, this means:
* master branches of Git repositories under pkg-mate may
not be touch by anyone without ACK from an uploading DD
- any change to any of the master branches requires an
open bug on the Debian BTS
- only changes are acceptable that fix bugs of
severity "important"
- the "changes" I am talking about are mostly patches
from upstream fixing some brokenness
- packaging changes are totally unacceptible during
freeze, except for a very very good reason (discussion
on Debian BTS first, before committing / pushing)
* Ubuntu development for Ubuntu zesty continues on the
ubuntu/zesty branch, Martin Wimpress is in charge of those
* the changes from the ubuntu/zesty branches will be merged
into the master branches after the release of Debian 9
* saying the above, Debian 9 will ship MATE 1.16
Thanks to all contributors in retrospective and advance. Let's make
Debian MATE 9 cool!!!
light+love,
Mike
