trying to adjust mouse speed and sensitivity
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?
nothing, the sliders do nothing ON TWO different computers
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
These setting worked fine in Debian 8, now they are useless in Debian 9! This
is a critical component for any desktop and to render it useless has a major
effect on the desk top.
