Bug#862307: mate-control-center: desktop background settings no longer honored

Dear Maintainer,

I have the same problem on three PCs that I upgraded from mate-control-center-common 1.16.0-2 to 1.16.1-1.

On two PCs where there was the default background of MATE:

$ dconf list /org/mate/desktop/background/ | xargs -L1 sh -c 'printf "$0: "; dconf read /org/mate/desktop/background/$0'
color-shading-type: 'vertical-gradient'
primary-color: 'rgb(88,145,188)'
picture-options: 'zoom'

$ ls -l /usr/share/images/desktop-base/desktop-background
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 36 janv. 15 13:11 /usr/share/images/desktop-base/desktop-background -> /etc/alternatives/desktop-background
$ ls -l /etc/alternatives/desktop-background
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 76 janv. 15 13:11 /etc/alternatives/desktop-background -> /usr/share/desktop-base/active-theme/wallpaper/contents/images/1920x1080.svg

he stayed, but I can not change it.


On a PC that had the background "Aqua.jpg", the background is now black, and I can not change it.
