Hi Adrian, hi Stefano,

I have to apologize... I have probably been too (far too) enthusiastic
last night. After a night full of sleep and after your mail, Adrian, I
realize that the update packages should well have remained in Git (or
been uploaded to experimental).

Point fully taken!!!

Ähm... is 1.7.0 not a stable release? I was not aware of that. I could
have been if I had communicated with you guys. I see that now.

Something inbetween b+f probably...

So what I can do now (probably tonight): get hold of one of the
ftpmasters here at DebConf and ask for help. This would probably mean
a removal of the uploaded packages and a re-uploade of packages from
the 1.6.1 version branch.

Shall I do that?

My thinking when uploading was: until we have all packages in place,
we have to go through them again anyway to upgrade to latest upstream
releases. However, I understand, that this could also be done with the
1.6.x series.

Adrian, I am sorry, it was a mistake, I will take responsibility for
that getting fixed.

However, today is the DC day trip, so I will be visiting CERN the
whole day through. Actions I can take tomorroow or maybe tonight, but
during the day I will mostly be offline (mobile phone has a Swiss SIM
card, so I read my mails).

Greets+Thanks+Sorry,
Mike
