I'd much more appreciate if you could send your debdiff to a bug in  
BTS in the future. NMU'ing means much more work for the package  
maintainers (grabbing the patch from your NMU, reviewing it (it could  
be crap), committing it to Git, re-uploading, ...).

I will prepare an upload of mate-panel today (including a new upstream  
release).
