Confirmed!

I also see this on some other laptop when controlling the brightness  
of the LCD backlight.

When running mate-power-manager from the cmdline, I see this message  
once when I press one of the Fn + <brighter>/<darker> keys.

@Stefano: any input on this from your upstream side? I remember that  
this issue was not present when my notebook was still running wheezy  
(with mate-power-manager from wheezy-backports).
