mate-applet-lockkeys upstream tarball not clean enough

Hi all,

I have had a closer look at mate-applet-lockkeys yesterday and I
consider that upstream tarball some sort of a mess:

o loads of build cruft files (fixed on git.debian.org [1] via
     repack magic in get-orig-source)
o gettext needs to be looked at (fixed via a patch)
o several files use the same namespace as the old
     lock-keys-applet for GNOMEv2 (needs fixing)
   o installs icons/images to /usr/share/pixmaps that should
     rather be installed to /usr/share/pixmaps/<application>
     (needs fixing)

IMHO the upstream tarball should be reviewed by one of the MATE
upstream devs or by us. Upstream should also be on Git somewhere and
I'd prefer having an issue tracker for reporting bugs and filing pull
requests or such.

Alternatively, someone has to weave the fixes demanded above (and
various other stuff) into debian/rules and debian/patches. I lack the
prio for that at the moment.

Mike
