Within the last months I sometimes peaked at my xsession-errors log
file and was not able to see such an issue (and I am using mate-polkit
in a full MATE session and under i3 window manager).
I will close your bug report, as I could not reproduce your issue
since your reported it. Also: your xsession-errors shows some really
peculiar messages, as if you are using a very weird Xserver underneath
MATE.
