Bug#780226: Num lock toggling causing mate-settings-daemon, xorg cpu runaway, LED astable

Package: mate-settings-daemon
Severity: grave
Version: 1.8.2-2

Hi,

while triaging MATE bugs, I stumbled over this issue [1]. A similar
Ubuntu bug exists [2] that's probably tackling the same issue.

I have just tested if the issue exists in Debian jessie using
x2goagent/nxagent as remote session agent/Xserver. I can confirm that
the MATE session becomes unusable when toggling NUMLOCK several times
(something that people do...).

I have tested a build of mate-settings-daemon with the patch provided
under [1] applied and the issue is fixed.

As a side-effect, it seems that a NUMLOCK sync problem between local
desktop and X2Go session running MATE reported in X2Go [3] has been
fixed with this patch applied, as well.

Greets,
Mike
