after upgrading GTK libraries from version 3.20 to 3.21, some of the Mate software began unusable or generates lots of error messages:<br>

* Caja: Desktop icons are "doubled", as would be laid over each other - including text, which looks ugly (bold with sharp edges).<br>
When moving any desktop icon, the inactive copy remains at the original place. The same goes for the selection frame.<br>

Also, it's impossible to open any folder - it crashes immediately and silently, *without any reason printed*.<br>
