i run the current pinephone bookworm release. 
it uses matrix-mirage 0.6.4-dsfg+hsluv1.0.0.4 and i now use python3-
matrix-nio 0.18.6-1.

this seems to work OK, so i presume upgrading the bookworm release
should be safe ?
