Hi,

I read about this on the pkg-mozilla-maintainers list, but I'm now
also subscribed to pkg-mozext-maintainers.

The headline says "Policy for packaging XUL based applications", but
the text only talks about "extensions for XUL based applications". So
for what is this policy planned to be, for XUL based applications or
for extensions for them? (Probably the later one, but then the
headline is quite misleading.)

I currently aks myself if this policy is relevant for the XULrunner
app I'm maintaining (conkeror, http://conkeror.org/) or if it's only
relevant for extensions of e.g. conkeror...

In case it's for extensions, I really welcome the idea of a central
extension directory and the symlinks to all supported applications
since this will allow to also support those extensions in Conkeror.

I also suggest to add Conkeror (and any other XULrunner app in
Debian(*)) to the list of "Icedove, Iceweasel, Iceape and Iceowl"
since quite a few firefox extensions also work with Conkeror.

(*) According to "apt-cache search xulrunner" there seems currently no
other XULrunner-only app than the rebranded Mozilla products and
Conkeror. Other XUL using programs are kazehakase, liferea, and
more library like things like google-gadgets-xul and libgluezilla,
but they all contain also non-JS code, usually for the GUI around
    the embedded Gecko.
