Hi Alexander--

I am trying to port your enigmail package for ubuntu into debian, and
i'm running into a few questions. Can you help me understand?

0) why is there a build-dep on libiw-dev? the configure scripts appear
to want it for NECKO_WIFI, but the enigmail source doesn't seem to
reference NECKO_WIFI at all. is this really relevant?

1) a similar question about libnotify-dev. again, the configure scripts
appear to be interested in it, but the enigmail source itself includes
no mention of notify_*.

2) debian/make-orig seems to expect a base tarball as its second
argument. Where should that base tarball come from, if one were to try
to re-build the "upstream tarball"?

3) it looks like the ubuntu build is using some variant of nspr-config
shipped with thunderbird-dev, rather than the system nspr-config; is
this a deliberate choice? Are the ubuntu thunderbird packages bundling
nspr?

Any advice or pointers you can give would be appreciated.
