I am not a Debian Developer yet, but here my review:

1) Please update debian/rules to use the dh7 rule [1]. The current
version uses a mix of a cdbs snippet and dh7. That wasn't my best
implementation...

2) You might want to use xpi-repack to generate the source tarball. It
fits nice into debian/watch.

3) Please convert debian/patches/debian-changes-0.9.7-1 into a proper
named one with a nice DEP-3 header.

4) Only a suggestion: You might want to use DEP-5 [2] for
debian/copyright.
