Can't find it at the moment, but I remember I once read some mail on
one of the mozilla mailing lists or blogs where someone was claiming
that we're doing it (the heavy patching) wrong and they (Mozilla) do
it right (of course). And IIRC Debian's (IMHO very obvious) symlink
feature was explicitly mentioned.

Will try to find that mail or blog posting, but can't promise
anything.
