Maavis provides simplified access to media, communications, web and
programs on a computer. It is primarily designed for people who are
either unsure of computers or unable to use them without adaptation.

Maavis is licensed under the GPL and has been developed for Windows.
I'm not familiar with Mozilla-based programming (more familiar with
C/C++ and GTK), so I've no way to assess how difficult it would be to
make a version of this code which a) runs in iceweasel b) could
actually be packaged.

Has anyone here got an interest in assisted browsing, assisted
communication and the time to quickly review this project and give me
some indicators of likely problems?

(I have some links with the original developers and I'm expecting that
some changes will have to be made - I'd like to have some clues about
where I can start when it comes to discussing the details with the
developers.)
