Is this doable? Has mozilla published a list of APIs that they're
committed to providing stable and backward-compatible support for with
version-specific detail?
Can we extract the specific APIs used from the .xpi?
These problems are pretty well-solved in the C library world, but they
require a lot of infrastructure and commitments to sane development
practices. I'd be happy to hear that their parallels existed in the
mozilla extension development world, but if they do exist, i don't know
about them.
Please show me i'm wrong! :)
