They decided to unfreeze every XPCOM API starting with
Gecko 2 (Firefox 4) :
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/XPCOM/XPCOM_changes_in_Gecko_2.0
From what I know, the useful source of information on compatibility is
now those pages:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Firefox_4_for_developers
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Firefox_5_for_developers
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Firefox_6_for_developers
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Firefox_7_for_developers
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Firefox_8_for_developers
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Firefox_9_for_developers
I was unable to find a machine readable equivalent. Javascript behind a
very dynamic language, I don't know how a realistic automatic version
inference could be done…
Cheers,
