Hi Bastian,

some research brought up that this is caused by the 3-pane window (Inbox 
tab) not being opened. However, that Tab should always be open in the 
default configuration of Icedove, making it cosable would require extra 
plugins.

I can only imagine that this error is caused by some other plugin. Can you 
provide a list of all plugins loaded in your "new" profile?
