As I mentioned on that bug report, fixing it properly is going to take some time because AMO does not expose the relevant data in a good way. In fact I spent two hours yesterday writing a patch to their website to try to fix this.
If you want to block update of a package just because it is missing 3 changelog entries, fine. I do not see the point in releasing a whole new version just to add these 3 entries back in, when I am already fixing the root of the problem.
