[Pkg-mozext-maintainers] Bug#780068: enigmail: key management view is misleading when collapsed

Package: enigmail
Version: 2:1.7.2-3
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

In the list view of the key manager, it shows the validity of the primary
identity - not of the key - when the entry is collapsed. However, it is
possible for one of the secondary identities of a key to be more valid than the
primary, for example when the primary ID has recently been changed.

There should be an indicator in the collapsed state to denote an unexpectedly
valid secondary ID, for example an asterisk appended to the primary ID's
validity. This would be particularly helpful when cleaning up keyrings - a key
with a new primary ID may appear to be wholly untrusted, when in fact it is
only the primary ID that is untrusted and secondary IDs might well be fully
validated.

Also, the expand/collapse buttons should only be displayed when there is
something to see in expanded mode, i.e. when there is either a secondary ID or
a photo. This would save a lot of fruitless clicking.

Andrew.
