what do you mean by "current"? The version in Debian stable / jessie?
Stable Debian releases don't get new versions, only very narrow fixes
for security and similarly critical bugs are allowed in.

mpd 0.19.9 is available in jessie-backports, and I plan to make 0.19.12
available there soon.
