my suggestion was based on brief googling for your error message, but
without any deeper understanding of the issue. Could you please comment
on what you have done since reporting this bug, and whether any of that
helped with your problem?

Alternatively (or in addition), I'd like you to try mpd 0.19.13-1 (fresh
in unstable since today), which contains a fix for initializing
supplementary groups.
