I did not have time to keep working on it, for now my changes are in
mpd-0.24 branch in my fork [0] with salsa-ci set up [1].

There are no major changes except d/copyright (upstream switched to SPDX
headers):

 * d/control: Remove boost, add sphinx rtd theme, raised libmpdclient-dev min version
 * d/watch: Switch to 0.24 branch
 * d/copyright: major update of copyright file with 'cme update dpkg-copyright' + some manual fix.

I did not spot other changes.

I'm not sure about the d/copyright, especially, will cme be helpful to
maintain future upstream changes in copyrights?

I'll try to push this in salsa.debian.org/mpd-team/mpd this week end.
