ffmpeg-free?!

Dear team-mates,
vorlon has asked us on debian-release to be patient with the upload of
libquicktime until the new ffmpeg transition has entered testing (just
for the case you are not subscribed to debian-release. Well, I am
not...).
BTW: For the new ffmpeg package in NEW which has the patented codecs
disabled the name 'ffmpeg-free' has been chosen. I personally think this
name is misleading and not very well chosen. Disabling possibly patented
codecs does not make a free (as in GPLed) software even more free; it
simply addresses possible future patent issues. As you know, e.g. xvid
is not in Debian not for the reason that it is not free, but because it
possibly involves patent issues.
However, IMHO a version suffix like '+debian' or '+nompeg4' would have
suited better.
Thanks for your attention. ;)
Cheers,
Fabian
