Fine for me.

How should the team's name look like? The full maintainer field
currently looks like:

Debian multimedia packages maintainers <pkg-multimedia-maintainers at lists.alioth.debian.org>

which is a bit long. What about trimming it to

Debian Multimedia Maintainers <pkg-multimedia-maintainers at lists.alioth.debian.org>

similarly to other projects like pkg-gnome:

Debian GNOME Maintainers <pkg-gnome-maintainers at lists.alioth.debian.org>

?

Ok.

This probably goes without saying, but I would include the tags:

Vcs-Git: git://git.debian.org/git/pkg-multimedia/PACKAGE.git
Vcs-Browser: http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-multimedia/PACKAGE.git

in all debian/control files.

Agreed.

Good idea.

Yeah, sad to have to say goodbye to Debian Multimedia (the Debian
one), I feel that name was quite easy and catchy. Anyway the important
thing to me is to get a well maintained package set.

Ciao!
