Maybe my idea is whole crap and I don't see it at the moment:

Debian's libavutil49 (0.svn20080206-10) could conflict against 
libavcodec51, libavdevice52, libpostproc51, libavformat52 and 
libswscale0 (>= 3:20050427). This means, installing Debian's 
libavutil49 will remove all of Marillat's packages except libavutil49 
itself (which is the one we install right now anyway).
If we repeat this scheme for all other library packages (i.e. conflict 
against everything >= 3:20050427, but not against yourself), we get a 
Marillat-free ffmpeg by installing only one of the Debian packages.
