Yes, that is the only required patch.

The patch is fairly non-intrusive adding just support for parsing one 
new ASF header. I hope that this could be added directly to the Debian 
package because the upstream has been inactive lately, but I also 
understand if you don't want to diverge too far from the upstream sources.
