My comment on this blog post ist still awaiting moderation. The cdbs 
example can also be simplified by at least 4 lines which have no 
counterpart in the debhelper example (the two lines around DH_VERBOSE, 
the line including utils.mk and the line calling list-missing).

At least in cdbs I don't have to tell the build-system to actually 
patch before building. ;)
