Erm... by the way, in 4:0.5+svn20090609-2 the order was already 
"FLAVORS := shared" and then "FLAVORS += static" and the linking was 
still right. Do you really believe it depends on the order of the 
FLAVORS in debian/confflags?

Reinhard, is there a specific reason why the changelog entries for 
4:0.5+svn20090706-1 are different in Debian and Ubuntu?
