Package: ardour-i686
Version: 1:2.8.4-1
Severity: normal

The following bug is reproducable here with the official ardour-package and with a local ardourvst-package with debian-patches, but not with a local non-patched version of ardour 2.8.4.

=> 1. scenario:

Open ardour and create a new session. In the menu set "Options/Misc Options/Auto-analyze new audio" to true. Try to import some audio as new region. A convert-audio-window appears and after 100% are reached ardour crashes (core dumped) with the message in console:

"Vamp::HostExt::PluginLoader: Unable to load library "/usr/lib/ardour2/vamp/libardourvampplugins.so": /usr/lib/ardour2/vamp/libardourvampplugins.so: undefined symbol: _ZTIN11_VampPlugin4Vamp17PluginAdapterBaseE

jack main caught signal 12

**** alsa_pcm: xrun of at least 862.547 msecs

Abgebrochen (Speicherabzug geschrieben)"

The analysis-subdirectory of the session remains empty.

=> 2. scenario:
Open ardour and create a new session; check that "Options/Misc Options/Auto-analyze new audio" is set to false; import some audio. Than set "Options/Misc Options/Auto-analyze new audio" to true and save the session. Than try to import some new audio as region, which will fail as described above in scenario 1. But in this case the session-file contains the line
    <Option name="auto-analyse-audio" value="1"/>
which causes ardour to analyze the not yet analysed first imported audio while opening the session - and ardour will crash. The only possibility to open the session with debian-ardour is to remove the above line from the session-file or set the value to "0". A non-debian-patched ardour opens the file without problems and performs the requested audio-analyis.
On the other hand: After the analysis is performed and there are according files in the sessions subdirctory analysis are created the debian-patched ardour works fine, even fft-analysis of a range.

Because of the error-message above i think there is a problem with the vamp-patch or the debian-vamp-sdk - but I'm only a user ;-)

Thanks for maintaining ardour for debian!
