Oh, I'm glad to  see that you like that part :-)

I hoped that I didn't step on your toes (for removing the extracodecs
variable), but maintaining package in ubuntu is much easier this way,
because this way I only have to check the build-dependencies. It seems
that for debian-{unofficial,multimedia}.org this concern exists as well.
