since this was *again* the cause of the bug report, do you think it 
would be possible the create (= ${binary:Version}) dependencies for 
ffmpeg library interdependencies and (>= ${SHLIBS_VERSION}) 
dependencies for all other packages linking against the ffmpeg libraries?

I am thinking about something like this:
libavcodec52 (3:0.svn20090119-1) depends on libavutil49 (= 
3:0.svn20090119-1) but e.g. ffmpeg2theora depends on libavutil49 (>= 
3:0.svn20081101-1).
