For me it also looks like a kernel bug. the vlc log looks completly normal and i can't see any vlc functions in the backtrace. Does it works ok if the 2 webcams are plugged before you start vlc ? Does it make any difference without the LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so ? -- Xtophe
