Just curious, did you actually test this? Does this really work?

I don't have hardware that could make use of this. In ubuntu, I can
build-depend on the respective -dev package, but up to now, I haven't
heared about clear success stories, but people complaining over strange
segfaults in gst-ffmpeg (which could be fixed in gst-ffmpeg, besides).

I suppose that it might just work, but I'm curious of someone could
actually report success on that.
