Hi

I also had only segmentation faults using a skinnable Interface with
version 0.9.8a-3 using a debian squeeze

In sid a lot changed but still a lot of Skins look horrable and many
have bugs

I think this is not in favour of vlc like Bug: #518300 and #401560

So I can only right now: use a diffent player !
