Debian Multimedia Team and Ubuntu

I'd say both teams share similar goals, with MOTUMedia being more or
less inactive. Slomo cares a lot for the gstreamer packages in both
ubuntu and debian these days, and I took over with xine, vlc, ffmpeg and
now mplayer. You could probably compare it to pkg-multimedia (before the
team merge). Crimsun is working hard on alsa in ubuntu, AFAIUI.

I'm not sure how Ubuntu Studio is doing these days, but they seem to be
more focused in building a compilation of software for semi-professional
audio packages, including an full-fledged distribution with installer
and such. From the set of package, I'd compare it more to the former
demudi team.

Now with demudi being merged with pkg-multimedia, and most (well, 2/3)
of the MOTUMedia folks being active in pkg-multimedia as well, I'd say
let's all work in a united team: pkg-multimedia! we have more than
enough packages to care for! :-)
