ffmpeg version numbers

        Hi Christian,

 I just saw your 4:0.5.svn20090318-0.0 upload as forwarded from
 marillat.changes at ml.free.fr.

 Please consider using a versioning scheme close to the one used in
 Debian.  Debian just bumped the epoch of the ffmpeg packages to 3 and
 you bumped it further to 4.  This means that even if we update the
 ffmpeg packages, people will keep using your version.  I don't think
 that's desired.

 I would like it if you would use the Debian version + marillatN
 instead, e.g. 3:0.svn20090303-1marillat1; that is the same scheme as
 Ubuntu and is provent to work.  If you need to prepare a new upstream
 version, just use the same versionning scheme.

 If there are other reasons for the change, let us now.

 Also, did you consider asking us about an update instead of rolling one
 in your repo?
