AFAIK libresample is audacity's own replacement for libsamplerate. It 
has been created, because the libsamplerate upstream author found it 
problematic that proprietary binary-only third-party plugins may be 
used in a version of audacity that is built against his library. 
However, we have switched the audacity Debian package to use the 
original libsamplerate again instead of libresample.

Maybe both plugins shuold be ported to libsamplerate.
