JFTR: pgrep -l jackd  is a little easier...

Is jackd running afterwards?

Can you try removing -R and -P from the jackd command line? Just to make
sure the problem isn't related to missing POSIX-RT prios (I don't know
if the script acquires the necessary permissions)


Starting jackd as user 'contact' works?
