I think the most important reason for making focused commits is that
that is the only way that allows us easily to revert changes. Grouping
commits means that we either have to manually fiddle to bake out
changes, or revert the whole thing.

Andres, please revert the whole commit and recommit them in single
steps. Don't bother about touching debian/changelog, it is much easier
to generate them close before an uploading using git-dch(1).
