However, calf recently got a lot of development, and the new calf
plugins look really promising:

I tried the git version yesterday, it's probably the best plugin suite
available for Linux.

It currently ruins the ardour GUI when called as an LV2 plugin, but this
is a known issue. I'm impatiently waiting for the fix ;)


a2jmidid is a good thing to have. There were plans to integrate the code
into jackd, but afaik, no news on this, yet.
