libavformat52 in debian and debian-multimedia are binary incompatible

Looks like they rejected the bug report.

Then it is an issues in debian mplayer package?

For mplayer at packages.debian.org:
issue being discussed is that mplayer binary from the current debian 
mplayer package (version 1.0~rc3+svn20090405-1), 
references 'codec_bmp_tags' symbol, that is there in libavformat52 
currently in debian, but was removed from later upstream libavformat52 
release and thus is missing in libavformat52 from debian-multimedia.
